Scissett Mount is set around a wonderful Oak tree, and offer's excellent outdoor communal space, for residents to enjoy. Scissett Mount provides bespoke accommodation and outstanding care and support for up to 80 people. Our services include residential care, specialist dementia care, respite care, and day care, within a welcoming and comfortable environment.

We want residents and their families to see Scissett Mount as their own home. We strive to have a balance between the warmth of being with family and friends and the professionalism and high standards of a first rate care home.
Types of Care
At Scissett Mount, we offer residential care for people who need extra support. Residential care homes are ideal for those who have started to find living alone more difficult, or those looking for support with everyday tasks. This can include assistance with personal care, washing and dressing, help with ensuring medical and nutritional needs are met, as well as just keeping everyone engaged, active and safe.
Our person-centred approach means that we focus on the individual needs of every person at Scissett Mount. We get to know each individuals needs, which enables us to encourage independence and balance it with care and support that meets their needs.
Many of our residents really appreciate having company, building friendships and embracing opportunities to take part in social activities.
We also offer respite care and day care.
At Scissett Mount, we offer specialist dementia care. Each person that we support is individualised, for their own personality, life history, likes, dislikes and skills. Our care focuses on maintaining skills and abilities, rather than focussing on what the person has lost. Our support is focussed on promoting wellbeing and meeting the specific needs of every individual, helping them to feel valued, included and happy.
Scissett Mount is able to accommodate people living with dementia, by creating a safe environment, from people who are all trained in Dementia Care and understand how that person could be feeling.
Our purpose-built care home is thoughtfully designed to care for people living with dementia. Bedrooms doors feature pictures of each resident to help reduce confusion. Hallways are filled with pictures of the local area in years gone by to help residents to reminisce.
